Finance Ministry releases Rs 178.7 million to 13 hospitals for managing oxygen plant, HDU

The government has released Rs 178 million 770 thousand to various 13 hospitals for installing oxygen plant and HDU. Accordingly, Rs 20 million has been relesed to the Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, Rs 51 million 270 thousand to the Jumla-based Karnali Academy of health Sciences, Rs 15.5 million to the Charikot Hospital, Rs 8 million to the Jiri Hospital, Rs 7.5 million to the Bajura Hospital and Rs 15.5 million to the Bajhang Hospital.
Similarly, the Ministry of Finance said, Rs 8 million has been released to the Doti Hospital and Rs 7.5 million each to the Achham Hospital, the Solukhumbu Hospital, the Khotang Hospital, the Taplejung Hospital and the Surya Binayak Hospital. Likewise, Rs 15.5 million each has been released for the Madan Bhandari Hospital and Trauma Centre.
Before this, the government had provided two billion 952 million to 26 central hospitals and nine provincial hospitals to manage ventilators, oxygen plants and oxygen tank. The Ministry said that the money has been provided to the hospitals and health institutions in line with the government’s policy of adopting all necessary measures for the prevention and control of COVID-19 and treatment of the infected people.
