Khalti has partnered with Lalitpur Metropolitan City for the digitization of its revenue collection. Taxpayers will be able to pay the taxes of Lalitpur Metropolitan City for Rental Tax, Property Tax, and Business Tax using Khalti App.
Recently, similar service was made available for the payment of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Now, with the availability of Rental Tax collection to the residents of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Khalti users can pay different taxes without having to visit the Metro/Ward offices.
Speaking further about the service, Binay Khadka, The Chief Executive Officer of Khalti, said, ‘The ability to pay digitally has become more important as it benefits both businesses and consumers in many ways.We have initiated partnership with various local governments and authorities. This strategic partnership shall definitely enable thousands of households to enjoy seamless and hassle free tax payment and Lalitpur Metro City for transparent and efficient revenue collection. ‘
Taxpayers will be able to pay by choosing ‘Khalti’ according to the method given below:
Go to Local Government in Khalti’s homescreen
Select ‘Lalitpur Metropolitan City’ and enter Tax Payer ID
- Select ‘Tax Payment Type’
- Rental Tax
- Property Tax
- Business Tax
- Verify the details & proceed for payment
- Select the payment option as ‘Khalti wallet’ or ‘Linked Bank Account’
- The taxpayer will receive Tax invoice in Transaction History of Khalti app
