Federal Reinsurance Brokers signs MOU with Banking Finance and Insurance Institute of Nepal for capacity development of Insurance Sector

KATHMANDU

Federal Reinsurance Brokers Limited and Banking Finance and Insurance Institute of Nepal Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 13th April 2023 to develop a long-term strategic alliance in the areas of training, research, and consulting for the capacity development of the Insurance sector.

The Memorandum was signed between the two company by  Alpana Sharma, Company Secretary and Saurav Baral Research Analyst of FRBL and Nishu Bhagat, Manager and  Matiram Paudel, Account and Admin Officer from BFIN.

Under the MOU, both institutions agreed to work together to cater to the needs for the capacity development of the insurance industry. They also agreed to cooperate in faculty exchange, organizing joint conferences, seminars, webinars, workshops, and training programs on a continuing basis.

In addition, they will collaborate in conducting joint study and research and consulting services, and participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, symposia, conferences, or similar events related to Insurance.

FRBL was established in 2022 as a Public Limited Company and is licensed by the Nepal Insurance Authority to offer reinsurance brokerage and allied services in Nepal. On the other hand, BFIN was established in 2018 as a Public Limited Company to offer training, workshops, and seminars to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of employees in the banking, insurance, and capital market sector.

It also conducts research and consulting to strengthen the financial sector, offers specific accredited courses, and creates a data bank for the financial community to help strengthen financial systems in Nepal.
