Esewa Money Transfer organized a special program to handover a house as bumper prize to Mr. Purna Bahadur Shrestha, winner of Mero Digital Desh initiative. The event took place in the presence of the company’s brand ambassadors, management team and employees. The formal event comprised of handover of the Key Cutout to the house winner.

Esewa Money Transfer announced the winner of “Mero Digital Desh” campaign through a live broadcast from the official Facebook and TikTok pages on May 26th. Mr. Purna Bahadur Shrestha, who has been residing in the UAE for the past 8 years and working as a driver, was selected as the lucky winner of the bumper prize through a lucky draw. He had won a brand new two-and-a-half-storied house built on a 3 Ana area in Bojepokhari, Imadol, Ward No. 4, Lalitpur.

The much-anticipated event came as a finale to the eight-month long campaign that was intended to create awareness and encourage remitters to use formal remittance services. Apart from the grand prize, various celebrity engagement activities were organized wherein, monthly winners were rewarded with surprise gifts at their respective cities by the celebrities.

Mr. Purna Bahadur Shrestha, the bumper prize winner, expressed his overwhelming happiness and gratitude for being chosen as the winner. Having dedicated the past 8 years of his life to working diligently in UAE to provide a better life for his family, Mr. Shrestha said that winning the brand-new house, as a bumper prize came as a complete surprise and felt like a miracle to him. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to Esewa Money Transfer for making his dream come true, and expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in the initiative. Speaking at the event, Mr Shrestha shared, “I just could not believe it, I thought it was a prank call. I spoke with my family back home and found out that my name was declared in the Facebook Live”. He added, “I had always wanted to build a house in Kathmandu and it had always been a lifelong aspiration, I feel extremely lucky to have been selected as the winner”.

Mero Digital Desh campaign was initiated by Esewa Money Transfer 8 months ago on September 23, 2022, with the objective of promoting formal remittances through a seamless digital medium.
