In the first month of the current fiscal year (Saun), Nepal has sent over 11 billion rupees for foreign studies.

According to the monthly report published by Nepal Rastra Bank, in the previous month of Saun, Nepal sent over 11 billion rupees for foreign studies. This amount is an increase of 51 percent compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.

In the previous fiscal year 2078/79, Nepal sent 7 billion and 13 crore rupees for foreign studies in the month of Saun. This is a decrease of 4 billion compared to the current fiscal year.

The recent report from Nepal Rastra Bank mentions that the number of students going abroad for studies has increased, leading to an increase in foreign currency outflow. In the previous fiscal year, Nepal sent 142 billion rupees under this title alone. This year, the number of students going abroad for studies has significantly increased. This indicates that the amount spent by students studying abroad will be higher in the current fiscal year.

Currently, the outflow of foreign currency for higher education from Nepal is seen as a major challenge for the country.
