Central bank increased the limit on gold imports

Central bank increased the limit on gold imports

KATHMANDU

The Nepal Rastra Bank has now increased the daily gold import limit to 20 kilograms. Previously, the central bank had allowed the import of only 10 kilograms of gold daily.

However, with the increased limit, it is now possible to import up to 20 kilograms of gold daily, especially targeting the Dashain festival. This decision has been made in response to the demand and requests from gold and silver traders, who have been demanding an increase in the gold import quota.

Along with this, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies has also made the decision to increase the gold quota based on the demand of the traders. With this, it will now be possible to import up to 20 kilograms of gold daily.
