KATHMANDU

Commemorating its 18th anniversary, Ncell Axiata Limited organized a blood donation program on Tuesday at its corporate office, Ncell ICON, in Lainchaur, Kathmandu.

Over 100 individuals participated in this program and donated blood. The general public, customers visiting Ncell ICON, and Ncell employees donated blood during the program, which was organized in collaboration with Hamro Life Bank.

Blood donors will receive an SMS notification when their donated blood is used in a hospital to save or improve patients’ lives. Living to its brand promise, ‘Today. Tomorrow. Together.’, Ncell organized the blood donation program under the anniversary theme ‘Here for You’. Blood donation is a vital part of healthcare throughout the world, and contributions will save many lives, especially during emergency situations.

The event was part of the extended celebrations marking Ncell’s 18-year journey. Jabbor Kayumov, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ncell, expressed gratitude to everyone who donated blood to help save precious lives. He said, “Together with the community, our customers, and our employees, it is rewarding to see that we have contributed to a noble cause. Moreover, blood donation is a selfless act that will give us deep satisfaction knowing that we have positively impacted lives. We firmly believe that Ncell is here for Nepal and the Nepali people.”

In line with the anniversary theme, ‘Here for You’, Ncell has already announced its strategic partnership with the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Nepal to support Paralympic national players. Ncell will also implement the ’18 for 18′ social initiative, which provides local solutions to local problems. Additionally, Ncell planted trees along the Bagmati Corridor Road last week and held a friendly football match called ‘Purple Kickoff’ and a Go to Market Day to interact with and greet customers, among other activities.

Over the past 18 years, the company has contributed over NPR 1.80 billion to various social causes, with a particular focus on areas such as education, environment, and health, among others.
