Central Bank decided to renew Treasury bills worth 18 arba to raise government funds

KATHMANDU

The central bank of Nepal has decided to renew Treasury bills worth 18 arba and 70 crore rupees. The bank has issued the bill to raise the necessary funds for the government.

The central bank has announced that the bill will be issued on Tuesday, Ashoj 30, at 3 PM. The bank has decided to renew bills worth 7 arba and 70 crore rupees for a period of 91 days. The bill will mature on Magh 2. Similarly, the bank has decided to renew Treasury bills worth 5 arba for a period of 182 days and 6 arba for a period of 1 year. The bill for 182 days will mature on Baisakh 4, 2081, and the bill for 1 year will mature on Ashoj 29, 2081.

All banks, financial institutions, organized institutions, and general citizens can participate in the auction of Treasury bills. The central bank has urged institutions that offer higher interest rates in the auction to be given priority and gradually increase the amount until the bill is fully subscribed.
