Ncell organises free health camp, marking 18th anniversary and World Heart Day

KATHMANDU

On Friday, marking its 18th anniversary and World Heart Day, Ncell Axiata Limited organized a free health camp in Lainchaur, Kathmandu. Over 400 individuals participated in this program and sought free medical services for various ailments.

The health camp was organized in association with Norvic International Hospital in Lainchaur Ground. During the health camp, free medical examinations for ailments related to cardiology, gynecology, pediatrics, dental, and general health checkups were conducted by doctors. Likewise, free ECG and diabetes tests were made available.

Living to its brand promise, ‘Today. Tomorrow. Together.’, Ncell organized the health camp in line with its anniversary theme, ‘Here for You’. Health camps are very good platforms for promoting preventive healthcare services by providing free screenings of general health well-being and helping individuals detect early health issues, if any.

All the patients who were screened at the health camp can also avail of a 20% discount at Norvic International Hospital for extended health checkups as per the referral in the prescription. In the camp, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., medicines were distributed for free to those needing them.

Jabbor Kayumov, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ncell, said, “We organized this health camp at the heart of the city as a part of our commitment to promoting the healthier well-being of our community because we care for our people. This is a testament that Ncell is here for Nepal and the Nepali people and always believes in giving back to the community. We will be organizing such health camps at the provincial level in the days to come.”

In line with the anniversary theme, ‘Here for You’, Ncell has already announced its strategic partnership with the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Nepal to support Paralympic national players. Ncell has also announced the ’18 for 18′ social initiative, which provides local solutions to local problems. Additionally, Ncell planted trees along the Bagmati Corridor Road, held a friendly football match called ‘Purple Kickoff’ and a Go to Market Day to interact with and greet customers, among other activities.
