Global IME Bank honored as the highest tax payer in Banks and Financial Institutions

KATHMANDU

Global IME Bank Limited has filed the highest amount of tax in banks and financial institutions. The bank had filed a tax of Rs 3 Arba 20 crore in the fiscal year 2078/79. In the closing ceremony of National Tax Day 2080, the Internal Revenue Office honored Global IME Bank as the highest taxpayer among the taxpayers under banks and financial institutions. In the program, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat provided a letter of appreciation to Chandraprasad Dhakal, the chairman of Global IME Bank Limited, for filing the highest amount of tax.

The bank’s current capital is Rs 35 arba 77 crore. Global IME Bank, which started its banking business in 2007 as a commercial bank, has merged and acquired various 21 banks and financial institutions and has been established as a solvent and responsible bank.

Aiming for qualitative growth in business, Global IME Bank has set a goal to double its business by 2025 by expanding its technology-friendly banking services and facilities. Global IME Bank is the first commercial bank in the private sector, with a network of branches in all 77 districts of the country.

The bank has been providing excellent services to more than 4.2 million customers through more than 350 branches, 369 ATMs, 322 banking services without branches, 66 extensions, revenue collection counters, and three foreign representative offices.
