Nepal has taken more than 15 arba external loan in the last four months

In the last four months, Nepal has taken out more than 15 arba in external loans. In the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2080–81, Nepal took out 15 arba and 85 crore rupees in external loans.
In the last four months, the Nepali government has taken out 15 arba and 85 crore in external loans, and in the same period, they have paid back more than 16 arba from the previous external loans, including the principal and interest. During this period, Nepal has spent a total of 16 arba and 18 crore rupees on loan repayment. It seems that the amount paid back from the external loan taken by Nepal in the first quarter of the current fiscal year is much higher.
The government has set a target to take 2 kharba, 12 arba, and 75 crore rupees in foreign loans in the current fiscal year 2080–81. However, the Public Debt Management Office has informed us that the external loan has not arrived in the first quarter as per the target.
According to the office, the external loan has increased by 3 arba in the last four months. The external loan remaining in Asar is 1 kharba 17 arba 24 crore rupees, and it has reached 1 kharba 17 arba 73 crore 49 lakh rupees by Kartik. Along with this, Nepal’s public debt has reached 2 kharba, 35 arba, 57 crore, and 6 lakh rupees. This is much higher than the total population of Nepal in 2078, which is 2 crore, 91 lakh, 64 thousand, and 5 hundred 78, as each Nepali owes 80 thousand, 819 rupees in public debt.
