Shobhakant Paudel has been appointed as the chairman of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

Making a ministerial decision, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat appointed Paudel as the chairman of NEPSE. Paudel’s appointment as NEPSE chairman is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. Paudel, who also serves as the director general of the Department of Revenue Investigation, has previously served as the chairman of the Nepal Debt Board and a company in Nepal Reinsurance. He was also a member of the executive committee of the former Insurance Committee.

Currently serving as the head of the Financial Management and Institution Coordination Branch of the Ministry of Finance, Bhoopall Baral has been called back, and Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has appointed Paudel as the chairman of NEPSE.

Along with his appointment as NEPSE chairman, Paudel has expressed his commitment to play a crucial role in strengthening NEPSE. Paudel has extensive experience in the Large Taxpayers Office and the Internal Revenue Department.
