In Bardia, two people have been arrested with 29.76 tolas of gold. The arrested are 29-year-old Mohan V.K. from Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan-19 and 38-year-old Devendra Bahadur Gharti from Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-2.

The police had conducted a check at the check point in Katarniya of Bardia Municipality-9 based on special information that they were traveling in a Hyundai car with registration number Pr-3-01-023-8168 along with gold jewelry. During the checking, the police found metal resembling gold, weighing 347.0710 grams. After receiving information about the vehicle with gold, the local police offices of Bagana Motipur and Katarniya reached the checkpoint.

Now, the police have taken the car, along with the gold jewelry, and the two individuals to the Rajapur Bhansar Office for further investigation. The District Police Chief Sudhiraj Shahi said, “We have brought the car to the Bhansar office for necessary investigation since the gold jewelry is suspected to be stolen.” He added, “We are working in cooperation with the Bhansar office for necessary cooperation.”
