Everest Bank Limited reports 7.88% increase in net profit

Everest Bank Limited has increased its profit. According to the unaudited financial report for the second quarter of the current fiscal year, the bank has earned a net profit of 1 billion, 71 crore, and 31 lakh rupees. This is an increase of 7.88 percent compared to the last fiscal year, when the bank earned a net profit of 1 billion, 58 crore, and 80 lakh rupees.

Similarly, the bank’s net interest income has decreased by 1.27 percent to reach 2 billion 44 crore rupees from 2 billion 26 crore rupees.

Likewise, the bad debt of the bank has increased from 0.55 percent to 0.77 percent. Along with the increase in bad debt, the bank’s impairment charge has also increased from 36 crore 66 lakh to 43 crore 23 lakh rupees.

According to the financial report made public by the bank, in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, the bank’s earnings per share (EPS) have also increased along with the bank’s profit. In this period, the bank’s EPS has increased from 7 rupees (67 paisa) to 29 rupees (12 paisa). The bank’s per-share net worth is 219 rupees (57 paisa).
