NMB Bank has announced its Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) plan, emphasizing its commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable societies. This strategic framework highlights the Bank’s dedication to promoting diversity, empowering marginalized communities, and advocating gender equity in these communities.

The GESI plan outlines NMB Bank’s firm commitment to creating a banking environment that is accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse needs of its employees, customers, and communities. With a vision to establish a culture of diversity and inclusion, NMB Bank aims to create tangible and meaningful business value while advocating social progress.

NMB Bank’s key objectives under the GESI plan include attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce, with a focus on building high-performing teams that reflect the diversity of society. As part of its Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) initiatives, NMB Bank has installed accessibility ramps in branches located in Maharajgunj, Thaiba, Naxal, Mahendra Chowk, Lubhu, and Birgunj and launched a “Women Leadership” program all over the nation to cultivate female leadership.

In order to encourage women entrepreneurs, the bank also offers special loans with customized features and additional benefits. Additionally, the bank has already launched a women-led all-women branch in each province of Nepal and introduced province-centric products such as Sundar Sudurpaschim Bachat Khata, Karnali Bishesh Bachat Khata, Lumbini Bachat Khata, Mero Gandaki Bachat Khata, Apan NMB Bachat Khata, and Pathibhara Bachat Khata tailored to the unique needs of each province.

NMB Bank is currently providing its services through 201 branches, 183 ATMs, and 11 extension counters.
