Billions Withdrawn from Banks as per the directive of the Ministry of Finance: NIC Asia Bank Leads with Rs. 23 Billion Withdrawal

Local levels are unable to calculate the amount deposited; as per the directive of the Ministry of Finance, large deposits have been withdrawn from banks. Prior to this, banks were able to calculate a 60 percent deposit on local levels provided by the Ministry of Finance.

With the reduction in this facility, billions have been withdrawn from banks. Among them, the highest deposit has been withdrawn from the NIC Asia Bank. Along with such financial decisions, NIC Asia Bank has withdrawn Rs. 23 billion, 89 crore, and 24 lakh in deposits.

Similarly, Rs. 16 billion, 17 crore, and 20 lakh have been withdrawn from the National Commerce Bank, while Nepal Bank has withdrawn Rs. 12 billion, 46 crore, and 13 lakh. Likewise, Agriculture Development Bank has withdrawn Rs. 7 billion, 31 crore, 74 lakh; Global IME Bank has withdrawn Rs. 5 billion, 42 crore, 97 lakh; Rs. 4 billion, 99 crore, 3 lakh; and Nepal Investment Mega Bank has withdrawn Rs. 4 billion, 23 crore, 34 lakh in deposits.

Furthermore, Kumari Bank has withdrawn Rs. 2 billion 85 crore 43 lakh, Nabil Bank has withdrawn Rs. 2 billion 84 crore 70 lakh, Laxmi Sunrise Bank has withdrawn Rs. 2 billion 78 crore 79 lakh, Himalayan Bank has withdrawn Rs. 2 billion 54 crore 7 lakh, NMB Bank has withdrawn Rs. 2 billion 30 crore 79 lakh, Machhapuchhre Bank has withdrawn Rs. 1 billion 81 crore 65 lakh, Citizens Bank has withdrawn Rs. 1 billion 60 crore 61 lakh, and Siddhartha Bank has withdrawn Rs. 1 billion 56 crore 66 lakh in deposits.

Lastly, Sanima Bank has withdrawn Rs. 1 billion 50 crore 17 lakh, Prime Commercial Bank has withdrawn Rs. 1 billion 13 crore 18 lakh, Nepal SBI Bank has withdrawn Rs. 92 crore 32 lakh, and Everest Bank has withdrawn Rs. 73 crore 47 lakh in deposits.
