Banks Witness a Surge in Deposits by 26 Billion, While Loans Decline by 15 Billion

KATHMANDU

Banks’ deposits have increased by $26 billion. According to the data released by the Nepal Bankers Association, the total deposits of banks in the month of Baisakh of the current fiscal year have increased to 26 billion and 19 crores.

According to the association’s data, the total deposits of banks have reached 54 billion, 41 billion, and 91 crores until Chaitra. By the month of Baisakh, the deposits of banks had reached 54 billion, 68 billion, and 11 crore.

Similarly, during this period, bank loans have decreased by 15 billion to 19 crores. Until Chaitra, banks had issued loans of 45 billion, 36 billion, and 84 crore.

However, by the month of Baisakh, the loans have decreased to 45 billion 21 billion 64 crores.
