What is ? 

After the merger of the erstwhile Nerude Microfinance and Mirmire Microfinance, there was a movement of to with various disagreements in the organization. While the agitation was going on, the organization had deputed Acharya to the Koshi Provincial Office. When Acharya was present there, the employees of Nerude were in sit-in. 

According to Acharya, soon after he went there, the former came to him and with various kinds of threats. So much so that the former employees of Nerude had been saying ‘The movement will not be successful until one employee is martyred’. 

The victim has alleged that on October 26, a team of employees of Nerude came and turned off the CCTV at around 4 o’clock, locked the door and beat } .

‘Panchananda Acharya first installed doors and windows. Then he snatched my phone. Then I called someone saying that I had taken control of the person and the phone. I don’t know to whom that call was made. Acharya said, “At that time, the agitating employees had locked Acharya along with Acharya, the messenger of the provincial office and the field staff of Barghachi Deu Kumari and Basnet .After about an hour and a half, was released, I was not allowed to get out. ’

According to him, he was kept inside and threatened to kill him if he did not call the state chief.

According to him, 8-10 people threw him with a chair while he was talking on the phone while the assault team was at the reception, instructing him to turn off the lights, turn off the glass, and and say {{} ‘He should be killed today’. “All of a sudden, a voice was heard saying, ‘Turn off the light, turn off the CC camera, don’t leave it, kill it.’ Around 8-10 people threw chairs. I tried to stop a lot, but I couldn’t. I couldn’t identify the person because the lights were off. ’ 

However, Acharya has said that he was beaten up by Shiva Shankar Sah, Raj Kumar Sharma, Arjun Rajbanshi, Mukesh Yadav and Rajdhari Sharma.“I couldn’t identify the faces of others as the lights were off. But I was attacked by 8-10 people. ’ 

Acharya, who was semi-conscious after the beating, was later taken to Kosahi Hospital.However, Acharya has been brought to Kathmandu for further treatment after he was found to be not getting good treatment at Koshi Hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu.

What is the reason behind the beating?

He was beaten up by the former employee of Nerude, saying that he should be sent to the boss by asking for the same license. ‘Why did you send a letter to the boss? He was threatened and asked to apologize in writing. Later, I was beaten with the intention of killing. ‘

Mohammad Maqsad Ansari, general secretary of Nerude Mirmire Employees Union, said that it was unfortunate that the HR chief of the organization did not pay heed to the efforts of the employees of Nerude from the beginning. He claimed that the employees of Nerude used to insult the employees of Mirmire, gave various threats to the extent and now beat them to the point of death.

Complaint filed with the police, those involved in the assault absconded!

Acharya has also lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Morang, against those who assaulted him.Among those involved in the assault is Shiv Shankar Shah, who is also a relative of the deputy CEO of the organization, claimed Acharya.

Spokesperson of District Police Office, Morang and Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Prakash Joshi said that a case has been registered in the incident and a search is on for the culprits. 

‘A complaint has been filed against four people. The process of arrest has already begun, the accused are absconding. We are continuing the search operation. DSP Joshi said, “Further investigation will be carried out after arresting him.” ’

According to Joshi, the complaint has been filed against Rajdhari Sharma, Mukesh Yadav, Raj Kumar Sharma and Shiv Shankar Sah. 

After investigation, the accused may be charged with kidnapping, beating, physical confinement, attempt to murder, etc. If convicted, the accused will be jailed for up to 8.5 years.

Boss doesn’t care even when the employee is beaten, accuses him of collusion! 

Even after a week of the incident of assault, the officials of the central office have notshown any concern about the incident. The relatives of the victims have also alleged that the authorities are trying to suppress the case as much as possible after the relatives involved in the assault were their own relatives.

CEO says, ‘Let’s not talk about this’

Bhojraj Basyal, chief executive officer (CEO) of the microfinance company, however, said that it is not appropriate to speak on the issue.Talking to Finance Sarokar, CEO Basyal said that he would not comment further as the police and microfinance companies are also investigating the incident. “The case has been registered at Morang Police Office. He admitted that he was not able to visit the patient because he was unwell and said that he sent a team. He said he was aware of the incident from the incident to the present day and claimed that the hospital would provide treatment to the patients.
