Kathmandu. eSewa and Khalti have closed the license/bluebook renewal (renew) service. After the government prohibits the use of ‘middlemen’ in government offices, eSewa and Khalti have also shut down the license/bluebook renewal service.
Both companies have said that the service has been shut down due to lack of legal clarity in providing license renewal service.
So much so that both eSewa and Khalti were providing Bluebook renew Pickup and Drop. However, after the government banned ‘middlemen’ in government offices, these companies have reported that have stopped the service.

In the name of license or bluebook renewal, these two companies have been called ‘digital middlemen’ by many in recent times because they charge extra money from the service recipients and work through middlemen.
However, both companies have stopped the license/bluebook renewal service after it was found that would not work in the government office by prohibiting the ‘middleman’ }.
