Court remands Bhatta and Agrawal in custody for 7 more days

Kathmandu. The court has remanded businessmen Deepak Bhatta and Sulav Agrawal in custody for 7 days. A single bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Tilak Bahadur Karki remanded Bhatta and Agrawal in custody for seven days.

Both of them are being investigated on charges related to money laundering.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation (PMLA) had presented the duo before the court seeking a 30-day extension in custody. However, the court has extended the deadline by only 7 days.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police had arrested Bhatta on April 2 while Shagarwal was arrested on April 5.
