Gandaki Province government to buy vehicles worth Rs 40 million, set up emergency health fund of Rs 50 million

Kathmandu. The Gandaki Province government has decided to buy vehicles worth Rs 40 million. The provincial government has decided to buy vehicles worth Rs 40 million for the parliament secretariat.

The cabinet meeting of the provincial government has decided on April 22 to purchase the vehicle on April 2 2.

The state government had given in-principle consent of Rs 4 crore for the purchase of vehicles. After the decision of the cabinet meeting, discussions are currently being held on the purchase of electric vehicles, said Finance MinisterBahadur Sherchan.

On September 10, 4 four-wheelers of the Speaker, Gen-G were set ablaze during the agitation.

Along with the purchase of vehicles, the Cabinet has also decided to auction 114 vehicles that were burnt during the Gen-G agitation. The meeting also decided to set up an emergency health care fund of Rs 50 million. A fund is being set up for the management of infectious and communicable diseases .
