Kathmandu. Hans Multipurpose Cooperatives Limited, which has its central office at Shahidchowk in Bharatpur-1, has organized a service center level quiz competition on the occasion of New Year 2083. The program was organized at Hotel Gangotri in Narayangadh on Tuesday under the coordination of the education sub-committee of the organization.
Chairman of Chitwan District Multi-purpose Cooperative Union Limited, Mr. Bhishma Prasad Khanal was the chief guest of the program and Chairman of the Organization, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Chukke.
The group under the head office became the first runner-up in the competition. Kul Prasad Subedi, Lekhram Sapkota, Sabita Bhusal, Basanta Raj Adhikari and Mangal Raj Silwal were in the first group. Similarly, the group under Vijayanagar Sewa Kendra secured the second position. Saraswati Sharma, Mina Pariyar, Laxmi Poudel and Shivachan Karki participated in the event. The winners were awarded with Rs 10,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively.
The chief guest of the program, Bhishma Prasad Khanal, made it clear that there was no problem in the established cooperatives of Chitwan. He, however, pointed out the need for policy reforms, saying multi-purpose cooperatives are facing some difficulty in doing business due to the current legal complexities.
Chairman of the organization Dinesh Kumar Chuke said that the organization has been organizing such creative programs for the overall welfare and capacity development of the shareholders. He also presented his future plans to make the organization more technology-friendly and member-centric in the coming days.
Highlighting the relevance and importance of the program, Deshbandhu Adhikari, coordinator of the education sub-committee, gave the welcome speech. Coordinator of PAC Govinda Prasad Poudel, member of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Homnath Sapkota, share members Lekharam Sapkota and Kul Prasad Subedi among others talked about the role of cooperatives.
The program was conducted by Narayan Prasad Sapkota, manager of the organization and Netra Bandhu Pokharel, member of the education sub-committee.
