Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has taken action against those who threw dust by shaking the ‘doormat’ at Durbar Marg. The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has taken action against Pankaj Kumar on the charge of polluting the road by blowing dust on the doormat . 

An employee of the metropolis confirmed that he was prosecuted for polluting by throwing dust in public places and causing inconvenience to road users.

According to the employee, he has been fined Rs 25,000 as a result of action.After the action, he was released on the condition that he would not do such activities again, according to an employee. 

The metropolis has also urged people not to carry out such activities saying such activities could cause environmental pollution and affect the health of road users.
