Kathmandu. Hetauda: The Hetauda Cement Industry has halted production of coal from Thursday morning, citing shortage of coal.

The industry was brought into operation only a month ago. The company has already called for bids to purchase 3,000 metric tonnes of coal.

According to Bikash Shrestha, assistant manager of Hetauda Cement, the coal will arrive in the next two weeks. He said that the timing of cement production will be determined only on the basis of the test results of the coal.
