Kathmandu. The Sharada Municipality of Salyan has declared a public holiday on the occasion of the inauguration of the bus park . The 64th meeting of the executive committee had decided to give a public holiday in the municipality on Wednesday to inaugurate the bus park . Prakash Bhandari, mayor of the municipality, said that the public holiday was given on the inauguration of the bus park as it is the pride project of the city.

According to the municipality, the bus park established at Srinagar of Sharada Municipality will be inaugurated today . Although the bus park was brought into operation since last December, was not inaugurated . All types of small,big and short and long route vehicles departing from Salyan are operating from the bus park.

Although the bus park is in operation, the shops and businesses that have been operating haphazardly on the roads and footpaths of the market area have also been managed within the bus park. The bus park started from the fiscal year 2080/81 and is spread over 7,000 square meters of government land.

Two commercial buildings with two rooms 17/17 have been constructed in the bus park constructed in partnership with the Government of Nepal, Karnali Province and the municipality. There are 35 business stalls and 34 shutters.

Public toilets, gates, parking, footpaths, drains and other structures have also been constructed.Jaya Bageshwori Construction and Suppliers has been awarded the contract to operate the bus park at an annual cost of Rs 52 lakh.
