Kathmandu. The government has pledged to open fertilizer factories in Nepal. The government has made this commitment in the ‘National Commitments made on the basis of the manifestos of 6 political parties.
The government has pledged to set up a chemical fertilizer factory inNepal in collaboration with the private sector to solve the problem of fertilizer shortage faced by farmers every year.
In the commitment, the government has mentioned that the government will adopt tax exemption, customs concession and investment incentive measures, giving special priority to agricultural enterprises and industries.
The government has also announced to provide credit cards, insurance and concessional loans to farmers giving priority to agriculture.On the other hand, the government has also pledged to provide contribution-based pension as well as grants, loans, facilities and social security to genuine farmers on the basis of farmers’ identity cards.
