U.S., Iran sign two-week ceasefire

Artha Sarokar

Kathmandu. The United States and Iran have agreed to a two-week ceasefire. U. S. President Donald Trump has announced a ceasefire.

Trump has repeatedly threatened to open the Strait of Hormuz, which has been closed by Iran after the conflict between the United States and Iran escalated. However, Iran has shown no sign of opening the Strait of Hormuz.

But if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened by Wednesday morning, Trump threatened to destroy the entire Iranian civilization. However, according to international media, the ceasefire was agreed to without the ultimatum given by Trump.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held talks with both sides overnight after Trump’s threat. After the discussions, a ceasefire was agreed.
