After 3 decades, 977 posts in health sector to be added

Kathmandu. The government is preparing to add 977 permanent posts in the health sector. The proposal to increase the vacancy has already been approved by the Ministry of Finance. 

The Ministry of Health had sent a proposal to the Ministry of Finance to add 977 posts of permanent technicians and specialist s. According to Health Minister Nisha Mehta’s secretariat, the proposal has already been approved by the Ministry of Finance. 

According to a source at the ministry, the government is going to add the most important posts in the health sector.The proposal, approved by the Ministry of Finance, is yet to be approved by the Council of Ministers.

The Ministry of Health had proposed to increase the number of posts several times in the past. However, the vacancy could not be increased as the government did not approve it. But now, after 3 decades, it is almost certain that the government will approve theproposal to increase the number of posts in the health sector. It is believed that the health sector would be more systematic and citizen-friendly besides fulfilling the required human resources in the health sector.
