Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has said that the budget for the coming fiscal year is small in proportion to the gross domestic product (GDP). Organizing a press conference at the Ministry of Finance, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle said this.
He said that the budget is bigger in terms of size, but the budget is smaller than that.
Stating that the GDP projected for the current fiscal year is around Rs 74.5 8 trillion, Finance Minister Wagle said that the total budget is only 28.5 percent.
He claimed that the budget has been brought in a way that will be in line with the implementationcapacity of the state, breaking the previous trend of the size of the budget going above 30 percent as a proportion of GDP. At the same time, he said that the real basis of GDP may fluctuate in the coming days and that more will be evaluated in the mid-term review.
