CEO Pandey, who was released on attendance bail due to lack of investigation, returns to regular work, risk of destruction of evidence!

Kathmandu. Jyoti Prakash Pandey, ChiefExecutive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Investment Mega Bank (NIMB), who was released on bail after being arrested in connection with the auction of government property, has returned to work.

Pandey was arrested from Sindhuli on May 2 9 on the charge of violating the government’s rights by auctioning the property of Smart Telecom.

However, the Supreme Court (SC) had ordered Pandey’s release from jail after hearing a writ petition filed by Dahal’s wife Dahal, claiming that he was illegally detained.Following the same order, he was released on bail on May 1.

However, if he has to leave the country, he will have to get permission from the court in the presence of a senior advocate.

In the meantime, he has returned to regular work since Tuesday (Jeth 6). After his arrest, the bank had appointed Mahesh Sharma Dhakal, Senior Deputy CEO, , as acting after he was suspended from the post of CEO of the bank. However, Pandey has returned to work.

The Central Investigation Bureau of Police (CIB) is investigating the case of Smart Telecom with him. However, when he returns to work while the investigation is ongoing, there is a risk of losing evidence about his involvement, experts.
