CIB urges people not to open unknown links in the name of ‘Connect IPS’

. Nepal Police has urged the public not to open unauthorized and unknown links . The Central Bureau ofInvestigation (CBI) has asked the police not to open the anonymous link received through social networking sites.

The Bureau has urged the public to take precaution as money in the accounts of banks and financial institutions is being stolen using various apps and systems related to electronic transactions.

According to the bureau, it has been found that through a notice was sent to different mobile numbers and various alerts on the mobile phones of different people with the same name ‘Connect IPS. 

According to the Bureau, there is a growing trend of users stealing money from bank account by sending ‘phishing links’ to {{} and unauthorized access to bank account. Spokesperson of the bureau, Dilip Kumar Giri, said that the bureau has urged the people not to open unauthorized links and to remain alert.
