Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle presented the budget for the coming fiscal year on Friday. He presented the estimated income and expenditure for the fiscal year 2083/84 in a joint session of the Federal Parliament today.

Earlier, the meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar had approved the budget statement.

The previous government had allocated a budget of Rs 1,964.11 billion for the current fiscal year. Out of the total allocation, Rs 1180.98 billion was recurrent expenditure and Rs 407.89 billion was capital expenditure. Similarly, Rs 375.24 billion has been allocated for financial management.
