Four arrested for swindling millions of rupees

Kathmandu. Police have arrested 4 people on the charge of swindling money in the name of sending them abroad. 4 people have been arrested for cheating millions of rupees by lucrative salary.

The arrestees have been identified as Narayan Joshi, 37, of Morang, Gopal Bikram Rana, 43, of Surkhet, Nawaraj Poudyal, 32, of Bhaktapur and Nwang Lama, 58, of Manang. A police team deputed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested them.

According to the police, Joshi was sent to Qatar by cheating Rs 4.8 million from 14 people, Rana Rs 2 million from three people for sending him to Iraq, Poudyal Rs 3 lakh from one person for sending him to Australia and Rs 1 million from one person in the name of sending Lama to Croatia.

All the four have been arrested and sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary action, police said.
