Kathmandu. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Managing Director Hitendra Dev Shakya has been relieved of his post. President Ram Chandra Poud el, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, issued the ‘Special Arrangement Ordinance, 2083′ on Friday.

Shakya, who was relieved of his post during the Sushila Karki-led interim government, returned to his post after the Supreme Court’s mandamus order.

However, Shakya will be relieved of his post after the government brought an ordinance to relieve all those who have received political appointments.Along with Shakya, five members appointed under the Nepal Electricity Authority Act, 2041 will also be relieved of their posts. 

Similarly, four office-bearers appointed as per the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority Act, 2045 BS will be relieved of their posts.
