Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, as a part of its corporate social responsibility, has provided stationery and educational materials to the students of Shree Janakalyan Basic School, who are under poverty line through their branch office, Sardi.
Surendra Bhandari, Narayangadh Area Chief of the Bank, handed over the stationery and educational materials to Dal Bahadur Sinjali, chairman of School Management Committee. A total of 138 students from Nursery to Grade 8 were provided with various types of educational materials in the school.
The materials distributed include alphabet and numerical charts, ABCD and various educational charts, days and months charts, nursery level study materials, pencil color, notebooks, pencils, children’s playful reading materials, nursery reading materials and more.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Shinjali expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Bank and expressed his confidence that this type of educational material will greatly help in making the learning process of students easy and effective. He expressed the belief that such programmes would boost the morale of the students studying in community schools and would have positive impact in the education sector. Bhandari, head of Narayangadh region, said that this type of support will make the studies of students easier and more motivated.
The program was attended by the bank’s staffers, SMC chairperson, school principals, teachers and students. The bank will continue such literacy programs in the days to come in coordination and collaboration with stakeholders.
