Kathmandu. Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality of Bhojpur district has distributed laptops to students who have secured the highest marks in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) for the academic year 2082.
The rural municipality honoured the students with the objective of creating competitive environment in modern technology and education. According to the rural municipality, laptops were distributed to Priya Rai and Prabin Tamang, a student who scored the best results in the general stream category. Tham Bahadur Rai, chairperson of the rural municipality, said the laptops were distributed to the students as an incentive to encourage teaching and learning and support technology-friendly teaching.
He expressed the view that this would help in the development of hard work, discipline and diligence among the students. The rural municipality has been implementing various schemes to improve the quality of education and provide technology-friendly education to the students, he added.
Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality Pradip Rai said the laptops were distributed to encourage the students to develop diligence by spreading positive motivation among them. Stating that education has been prioritized, he pledged to continue the programmes to encourage the students achieving good results in the days to come.
In recent years, the rural municipality has been implementing various programmes in the areas of educational improvement, technology-friendly teaching system, student incentive program and capacity building of teachers.
