Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance (NLIC) has organized a free health camp and a massive blood donation program across the country. On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the company organized a free health camp on the premises of its head office on May 4 and 22.
The health check-up service was provided through RB Diagnostic. The camp provided free check-up of ECG, thyroid, sugar, pressure, SGPT, cholesterol, uric acid and free consultation by expert doctors. A total of 601 people directly benefited from the two-day camp.
Along with this, the company also organized blood donation programs in 13 places of 7 provinces across the country. A total of 505 pints of blood were collected from Itahari of Koshi Province, 25 pints of blood from Birgunj of Madhesh Province, 25 pints of blood from Janakpur, 78 pints of Kathmandu of Bagmati Province, 81 pints of blood from Narayangadh, 39 from Nuwakot, 26 from Hetauda, 32 pints from Banepa, 55 pints from Pokhara of Gandaki Province, 33 pints of blood from Butwal of Lumbini Province, 34 pints of blood from Bhairahawa, 25 pints of blood from Surkhet of Karnali Province and 33 pints of blood from Dhangadhi of Sudurpaschim Province.
On the occasion, Mr. Prabin Raman Parajuli, CEO of the company expressed his best wishes to all the members of the Board of Directors, shareholders, customers, agents who are the backbone of the company, employees who have always supported them in their ups and downs, regulatory bodies and all the stakeholders. He also said that the company expects to get the same love, trust and cooperation in the coming days as well.
