Kathmandu. Prime Minister BalendraShah has said that Nepal is in need of money and the government is focused on increasing the money. Responding to a question raised by lawmaker Pramesh Hamal in the House of Representatives on Sunday, he said that the program to upgrade Nepal from the status of Least Developed Country (LDC) to Nepal ( LDC) for the time being has been postponed for the time being.
He stressed the need to take Nepal towards a production-oriented and export-oriented economy.The Prime Minister said that the government should take strategic steps keeping in mind the tax exemption and trade concessions being received in export.
The Prime Minister said that the government has taken two more years to increase the number of taxes and trade facilities in the export of Nepali products with the upgrading of the LDC.
Prime Minister Shah said that the country’s priority now is to increase revenue and income by expanding economic activities rather than boosting self-confidence.
