Kathmandu. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked people not to buy gold for a year. Addressing an event in Hyderabad and Secunderabad in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asked people not to buy gold for a year.
Apart from not buying gold , Modi has also urged to reduce the use of cooking oil.
Due to the disruption in India’s supply chain due to the international conflict and the abnormal increase in the prices of energy and other essential commodities, Modi has asked the government not to buy gold and reduce the use of oil for the next one year to deal with the severe crisis.
As India does not have enough oil resources, it has to import a large amount of petroleum products, gas, and fertilizers.Modi said that there should be a change in behavior to reduce the pressure on foreign exchange reserves.
