Kathmandu. The government has announced to return the money to the savers of the troubled cooperatives. President Ram Chandra Poudel on Monday announced the government would return the savings of savers by establishing the Integrated Savers’ Protection Fund.

The amount received by recovering the loan of the cooperative will be deposited in the fund. The government has announced that the savings of the savers will be returned from the same amount.

The government has already set up a revolving revolving fund for the purpose of returning the savings of the cooperative. The government has allocated Rs 250 million for the project.

Arrangements have been made to deposit the amount recovered from the borrowers of the currently problematic cooperatives in the same fund. Likewise, the government has also announced to strengthen the National Cooperative Regulatory Authority.
