Rs 4.17 lakh revenue collected in traffic action

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,029 drivers have been charged for breaching traffic rules. As a result, Rs 4.17 lakh revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action was taken against 59 for drunken driving, 119 for ride-sharing, 132 for breaching lights and 208 for speeding.

Similarly, 57 for flouting lane discipline, 94 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 95 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 126 for one-way driving and 1,139 for flouting other traffic rules were penalized.
