Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, 1,994 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. A total of Rs 541,502 revenue has been deposited in the state treasury through this.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 127 people were taken for drinking, 142 for ride-sharing against the traffic rules, 149 for breaching signal lights and 103 for speeding.
Similarly, action taken against 158 people for flouting lane discipline, 130 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 128 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 95 for one-way driving and 962 for flouting other traffic rules.
