Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, 2,105 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This has contributed Rs 26.60 lakh to the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, a total of 99 people were taken for drunken drinking, 193 for rid-sharing and 139 for violating traffic codes.
Similarly, action taken for 132 for flouting lane discipline, 79 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 87 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 79 for one-way driving and 1,164 for not following other traffic rules.
