Traffic police collect Rs 20 lakh in a single day against those disobeying rules

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,093 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. A total of Rs 19,99,502 revenue has been deposited in the state treasury through this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 65 were taken for drunken driving, 225 for ride-sharing, 137 for traffic code violators and 153 for speeding.

Similarly, action taken against 194 people for flouting lane discipline, 58 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 109 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 41 for boarding and dropping passengers at designated places and 1,121 for not following other traffic rules.
