Two employees of Nepal Bank arrested on the charge of embezzling more than Rs 38 lakh.

Kathmandu. Two employees of Nepal Bank have been arrested on the charge of embezzling more than Rs 38 lakhs from the hospital. The arrestees have been identified as Kamal Bhandari, 34, cashier of Nepal Bank and Bikram KC, 35, of Kapilvastu Basic Health Service Hospital.

Further investigation into the case was initiated after a complaint was filed that the amount to be deposited in the bank was not deposited in the bank.

According to Santosh Acharya, chief of the District Police Office, the bank vouchers have not been deposited in their bank accounts.

Along with the bank staff, other hospital staff have also been arrested. Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
