Kathmandu. The CPN-UML has set up its central party office . The CPN-UML has decided to shift the party’s central office to Chyasal after the government issued a circular to vacate the land that has not been converted into lease. 

According to the Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, 342 institutions have taken ownership of government land across the country. 

Many of the land has not been leased. Among them, the land in Chyasal, Lalitpur, where the CPN-UML’s central office is located, has also been included in the land.With this, the UML has also to vacate the land. 

The building where the UML party office is currently located belongs to the Tulsilal Memorial Foundation. Although the government had directed to convert the land on lease in 2073 BS, it was not converted into lease. The same building was leased to UML by Tulsilal Foundation since 2078 BS. 

The CPN-UML office has to be shifted after the government issued a circular to vacate the land.The UML leaders are holding discussions on shifting the party office .
