Kathmandu. Sushil Bhandari, a 14-year-old student of Kailali has published his first story collection ‘Gham Chhaya’, amidst financial constraints, family problems and difficult life in a remote village.
Originally from the hilly area of Doti district, Sushil’s childhood was spent in the lap of nature. Growing up in a secluded house in the middle of the forest, he experienced many of life’s struggles at an early age. The family’s financial condition was poor and his father had been ill for a long time.
Sushil, who is currently living in Kailali, is studying in a government school. Despite limited resources, financial difficulties and various challenges, he never let his passion for literature die. As a result of this dedication and continuous hard work, his 152-page story collection “Gham Chhaya” has been published.
The book depicts various aspects of society, poverty, struggle, human sensitivity, hope, despair and realities of life. According to the author, the book is not just a story but also an attempt to give the reader a perspective to understand life.
Sushil’s journey, which has been successful in publishing books at a young age, can be a source of inspiration for many young people. His efforts to create literature rising from difficult circumstances have given the message that success is possible with talent and strong willpower.
Sushil, who aims to continue his literary creation in the future, is moving forward with the dream of making his own identity in Nepali literature.
