Around 19 revenue collected in a single day in traffic action

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,223 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This has contributed Rs 18.81 lakh to the state exchequer.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, a total of 94 were taken for drunken drinking, 150 for ride-sharing, 177 for breaching signal lights and 118 for speeding.

Similarly, action taken for flouting lane discipline is 61, for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 98 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 120 for one-way driving and 1,251 for flouting other traffic rules.
