Board Chairman Takes Charge, Promises to Work Honestly for Capital Market Development

Kathmandu. Newly appointed Chairman of Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta has assumed office. Bhatta took the oath of office on Monday and assumed office at the board’s office on Monday. 

Dr. Bhatta has taken the first decision to conduct an awareness program on money laundering and financing ofterrorist activities. 

Bhatta has said that he will work sincerely for the development of capital market as per the plan of the government and the Finance Minister. 

He also pledged to use his knowledge, experience and skills to fully support the interests of market investors and the government’s economic growth goals.A cabinet meeting held on June 5 had appointed Bhatta as the chairman of the board. 

Bhatta on Monday Swarnim took the oath of office and secrecy in front of Wagle. After taking the oath of office and secrecy, Finance Minister Wagle directed Bhatta to work honestly for the safety and welfare of investors’ investment.
