Kathmandu. Dr. Shrestha has been appointed as the Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). Gopal Prasad Bhatta has been appointed to the post. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Friday decided to appoint Bhatta to the post of chairman of the board. 

Bhatta is a retired Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank . 

Thus, the recommendation committee formed for the appointment of the chairman of the board along with Bhatta along with the former executive director of the board, Dr. The committee had recommended the names of Nawaraj Adhikari, Binay Dev Acharya as the incumbent executive director and Mukunda Chhetri as the former executive director of Ra stra Bank. 

According to government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel, the government has decided to appoint Bhatta as the chairman of the board.
